The work doesn't fail for lack of funding. It fails for lack of infrastructure.

11th House Initiatives builds the systems, coordination, and capacity that move households from eligibility to outcomes.

OUR STORY

11th House Initiatives was founded to address a specific gap: communities with real resources and real needs, but not enough infrastructure to connect them.

The organization was created by the leadership of Eleventh House Solutions, a consulting firm with more than fifteen years of direct experience designing and managing energy, housing, and healthy homes programs on Maryland's Eastern Shore and in Delaware. Through that work, the team has helped deliver $8M+ in community-serving programs in partnership with state agencies, utilities, housing authorities, and nonprofits.

As community needs outgrew what a consulting model could address, 11th House Initiatives was established as a nonprofit platform — with its own Board of Directors, independent governance, and a formal service agreement with EHS for administrative and technical support. This structure gives 11th House operational infrastructure and a proven track record from day one.

PROGRAM FOCUS

11th House Initiatives currently operates the Health, Housing & Energy (HeHE) program — an integrated model that connects income-qualifying households to energy efficiency, electrification, housing stabilization, and healthy homes resources through coordinated navigation and whole-home implementation support.

HeHE addresses a persistent problem: the programs exist, the funding exists, but households can't successfully navigate fragmented systems on their own. We build the coordination infrastructure that moves households from eligibility to completed outcomes.

Current HeHE programs include community outreach and electrification education (MEA-funded), residential energy efficiency and electrification retrofits (MEA-funded), and housing stabilization and health and safety repair services.

11th House also provides capacity-building support, program administration, and backbone services for community-based organizations and public-benefit initiatives where gaps in implementation infrastructure are the barrier to impact.

OUR MISSION

11th House Initiatives advances equitable community outcomes by strengthening organizational capacity, developing effective systems, and launching programs that address unmet needs in underserved and low- and moderate-income communities.
