STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES. CLOSING GAPS.

11th House Initiatives is a nonprofit organization that strengthens communities by building capacity, improving systems, and launching programs that address unmet needs.

OUR MISSION

11th House Initiatives advances equitable community outcomes by strengthening organizational capacity, developing effective systems, and launching programs that address unmet needs in underserved and low- and moderate-income communities.

WHAT WE DO

We work at the intersection of community need, systems design, and program implementation. Our work includes:

  • Building organizational and programmatic capacity

  • Improving systems that support energy, housing, and community programs

  • Developing and launching gap-filling initiatives where needs persist

  • Partnering with public agencies, utilities, and community organizations to deliver measurable outcomes

OUR STORY

11th House Initiatives was created to sustain and expand community-centered programs that improve quality of life for underserved and low- and moderate-income households.

The organization was founded by the leadership of Eleventh House Solutions, a management consulting firm with more than fifteen years of experience supporting public-benefit programs through project management, administrative services, and systems support. Through this work, the team has helped deliver millions of dollars in community-serving programs in partnership with utilities, state agencies, local governments, contractors, and nonprofit organizations.

As community needs evolved and capacity gaps emerged, 11th House Initiatives was established as a nonprofit platform to sustain and expand this work where existing organizational models were no longer sufficient.

11th House Initiatives operates independently with its own Board of Directors and governance policies, while leveraging administrative and technical support through a formal, board-approved service agreement. This structure allows the organization to respond quickly to community needs, maintain strong accountability, and deliver meaningful, long-term impact.

PROGRAM FOCUS

11th House Initiatives develops and supports community-based programs that strengthen local systems, reduce barriers, and improve long-term outcomes for underserved and low- and moderate-income communities.

Program areas include:

  • Energy efficiency and affordability initiatives for income-qualified households

  • Affordable and stable housing programs

  • Capacity-building and financial pass-through support for small and community-based organizations

  • Program administration and backbone support for public-benefit initiatives

  • Gap-filling projects that address unmet community needs

Programs are designed to complement existing efforts, avoid duplication, and align resources where they can deliver the greatest impact.

PARTNERSHIP APPROACH

We collaborate with public agencies, nonprofit organizations, utilities, and community partners to strengthen existing programs and, where appropriate, develop new initiatives that address unmet needs.

Our work emphasizes coordination, accountability, and sustainability so that public and philanthropic investments translate into real benefits for households and communities.
